The Lady Rockets Golf Team went to Wellington Golf Club yesterday to play in their eighth golf tournament of the season. It was the AVCTL League Tournament. The Rockets played very well, taking third overall as a team. The Lady Rockets shot a 404 as a team, and the Rockets' best golfers were Hannah Reeves, who shot a 93, and Raelynn Gash, who shot a 98. The Rockets' other golfers were Kam Rozell with a 106, Brinley Fouts with a 107, Willow Rasico with a 116, and Aria Woods with a 120.
“This is the High School GIRLS GOLF team,” said head coach Phil Van Horn. “Two weeks ago, we won the Ark City Golf Tournament and drove on over to the East China buffet and ate 37 crab rangoon. Some of our key players are Hannah Reeves and Raelynn Gash, who just won all league honors Tuesday with a 7th and 10th place finish at league. We finished 3rd as a team. We have a realistic chance to get 3rd at regionals Monday and qualify for state as a team. Giddy up.”
