Last night, the Lady Rocket Volleyball team went 2-0 in games against both Circle and Clearwater. The Rockets beat Circle in three sets, 25-14, 17-25, and 25-21, then they beat Clearwater in just 2 sets, 25-15, 25-9. They improved their record to 19-10. “The performance showed what this team is capable of when everyone is locked in, communicating and competing for every ball. Our defense and energy helped us put together a memorable senior night and a pair of statement victories,” said head coach Cherith Mock. “It was great to have Meredith Beavers back on the court following her injury, which helped strengthen our back-row defense with Skylar Hensley stepping in as a DS. The combination of strong defensive play, improved back-row coverage and consistent offensive production played a key role in the strong performance and impressive sweep.”

The Rockets were led offensively by Chloe Mock, who finished the night with 22 kills, followed by Marissa Jensen with 14 kills. Defensively, Emme McNaul led the way with 24 digs, while Chloe Mock added 21 digs of her own. The Varsity team plays again this coming Tuesday October 13th at Andale.
