This weekend, the Rocket Volleyball team plays at the Chaparral tournament this weekend. This is the first time they have played at this Invitational. “We have a chance to redeem ourselves against Wellington,” said head coach Cherith Mock. “There are three top teams in the state at this tournament in Cheney, Wellington, and ourselves. We are all in the same pool so it will be tough to make it into bracket play. I expect us to compete and hopefully get better. We are still without starting setter Meredith Beavers, so we are asking a lot out of freshman Skyler Hensley but I fully expect her to step up to the challenge.”
At the tournament, top teams including McPherson, Wellington, and Cheney. With key players participating being Dru Zeka, Kirstyn Gregory, Blyss Johnson, and Vivienne Write from Welllington. Carmin Pavlovich and Rylie Whitfield from McPherson and Landry Voth, Lucy Fouquet and Kendali Thorne from Cheney.
