The Lady Rockets Golf Team went to McPherson to play in their fifth golf tournament of the season this past Thursday, September 17th. The Rockets battled, taking 11th overall as a team. The Rockets' best golfer in the tournament was Raelynn Gash, shooting an 87, tying for 16th place. The Rockets as a team shot a 394, and the golfers were Gash with an 87, Hannah Reeves with a 93, Willow Rasico with a 104, Brinley Fouts with a 110, Kam Rozell with a 117, and Aria Woods with a 124.
“This was one of our toughest tournaments of the year, both with the course rating and competition. There were lots of 4A teams here that might sneak into our regional. I had no expectations for this meet other than the forecast. Anything can happen,” said head coach Phil Van Horn. The ladies have a chance for redemption at the Cheney meet this coming Tuesday September 22nd.
