Today, the Lady Rocket Golf team is going to Turkey Creek Golf Club, for the McPherson Invitational. Last year at the McPherson Invitational, the Lady Rockets had only three golfers, which did not allow them to place. The two golfers returning are Raelynn Gash, with an 83 (T18), and Hannah Reeves, who shot a 101 (T38).
The key players from the other teams in this tournament are Isabel Hawley from Andover, Aspen Colquhoun from Andover Central, Macy Miller from Buhler, Emmerson Bearley from Cheney, Brooke Johnson from Topeka Hayden, Ximena Sarinana, Reese Christenson, Remi Hartley, Emma Nguyen, and Madeline Johnston, all from Kapaun. They are also going up against the No. 1-ranked girls golfer Naomi Koontz from Newton.
“We are hoping to compete well as a team. My goal is to shoot better than I did last year,” said Hannah Reeves.
