The Lady Rockets Golf Team went to Hesston to play in their fourth golf tournament of the season this past Monday, September 14th. The Rockets shot well, taking third overall as a team. The Rockets' best golfer was Senior Hannah Reeves, who took second with a score of 41. The Rockets as a team played well, with a score of 41 from Reeves, Willow Rasico shooting a 57, Brinley Fouts shooting a 59, Aria Woods shooting a 62, and Ainsley Nickelson shooting a 71.
“We definitely struggled in the heat as we started strong on our first 3 holes, but hit a wall towards the end,” said head coach Phil Van Horn. “Hannah Reeves powered through. She had one bad hole early with a lost ball/OB situation, but went on a par run and earned 2nd place. She lost by one stroke to a Wellington girl who's grown up on that course and will probably play college golf someday. No shame in that.” The Ladies will play again at the McPherson Invitational tomorrow.
