2 1/2 Years of Memories...
I began working on the Rocket Athletics Website in January of 2013, the second semester of my sophomore year. I took Computer Applications my freshman year and Desktop Publishing during the first semester of my sophomore year. The web team was unexpectedly losing a team member due to a transfer at semester and Mr. Wright asked me to work on the Rocket Athletics Website for the second half of the school year. I continued to work on the website during both my junior and senior years while taking Photoshop as a junior and then Flash and Dreamweaver as a senior. During my tenure as a Webmaster, I had the pleasure to work with Jesse Allen, Kayla Collins, Haley Canfield, Madi Mermis, Jarrod Fisher, Brody Hingst, and Ethan Aberg. My replacement for the upcoming year is Kristen Bohm. I worked on photo galleries for my first year and a half plus all the miscellaneous jobs Mr. Wright needed me to do. My senior year I felt ready to take on more responsibility, so I asked Mr. Wright if I could take on the sports indexes and box scores as well as still doing photo galleries. One of the most memorable moments in my Webmaster career was during my junior year when Mr. Wright attempted to teach me something new for the website and that something was the front page of the website. When I tried to do it for the first time by myself I crashed the entire front page. It took Mr. Wright two and a half hours to fix what I had accidently done. When he was finally done he politely told me I would be sticking to my strengths, which was photo galleries. It pains me to say but this is my last and final year of high school and of working on the web design team. It is sad to leave this part of my life behind and to head off to college. My plans for the future include attending Cowley County Community College to major in Web Design. It has been an amazing two and a half years working with my web design teammates. I want to thank Mr. Wright for all he has done for the website and for me as well!! He brought learning to an entirely new level and I had the pleasure of experiencing this first hand all four years of my high school career. I will certainly miss all of the different classes and the countless jokes that we made. Thanks for a great two and a half years Mr. Wright!!! I am extremely grateful for all you have done for me. |
