Thunderbirds Defeat Lady Rockets

The Lady Rockets were home Tuesday night playing against Circle. After winning on Friday, the Lady Rockets were looking to start a winning streak. In the first quarter, the Lady scored 5 points. Ella Swearingen and Jessa Lee both scored a 2-pointer and Cameron Yardley made a free throw. In the second quarter, the Lady Rockets scored 6 points as Reese Goetz and Cheyenne Martin both scored a 2-pointer, and both Swearingen and Payton Jackson scored a free throw. At halftime the Lady Rockets were down by 13 points with the score being 24-11. In the third quarter the Lady Rockets put up 6 points with Yardley scoring two 2-pointers and Lanie Page scoring another 2-pointer. In the fourth quarter we gained another 9 points as Page, Yardley, Dakota Bryer, and Martin all scored a 2-pointer and Page also scored a free throw. The Thunderbirds won the game by 17 points with the score being 43-26. The Lady Rockets will off until next Thursday, January 26 when they will be playing at the Haven Invitational; the first opponent and time is still to be determined.
